The Marumi 77mm ND2.5-ND256 (1.3 to 8 stops) Creation Polarizing Lens Filter allows you to freely adjust the amount of light reduction to suit your scene. This filter is an ND filter that uses two polarizing films to achieve step-less light reduction effects. By turning the rotating frame, the amount of light can be adjusted steplessly from Min. to Max. A physical stopper is equipped at the Min/Max position to prevent further rotation of the filter frame, thus preventing unnecessary over-turning. This filter frame has a scale that serves as a guide for the number of stops. Each line on the filter frame indicates a reduction of light by 1 stop.

The filter features a X-pattern warning mark that is placed at the position where the unwanted X-Pattern begins to be noticeable when using a wide-angle lens.
